what if I got contacts lens with soccer prints on them?! Then my eyes would looks like footballs. that would look weird.
oh crap. I forgot my skype username. nevermind.
okay. 1st things first. From the 13th - 15th November, the Japanese students from Omi brotherhood School came. When Friday came, Juin and I were scared as cows. We were regretting like crap about the whole hosting deal. To make things worse, the 2 Japanese that we were to host were guys. Juin's was Takuya and Yuki. Mine was Takeshi and Ryohei. Thank goodness the 4 of them are quite close! But still, all 4 of them were really shy/quiet dudes. My dad can talk to them better than I can. I mean, he knows what to say to them and stuff, and he explained lots of stuff to them on the way home from school. So on Friday night, me, Takeshi and Ryohei met up with Juin, her japs, and weijun. We brought them around Petaling Street(the japs call it Chinatown), trying all kinds of food and brought them to do a little shopping. then, we stopped at Bukit Bintang. Then we decided to catch a cab to KLCC before the lights at Twin Towers are turned off. Then on Saturday morning, my dad, my sis and I brought Ryohei and Takeshi to one of the Kayu Ara mamak store for breakfast. Ordered a variety of 'rotis' for them to try. I think they liked Roti Boom the best cause it's buttery and sweet. and ohmygoodness, Takeshi was so cheeky. We explained about the sambals and their spicyness. So Takeshi sabotaged Ryohei and told him to dip his roti canai into the spicier one. He made him dip the whole thing(well, close enough) in the sambal. And if you know well, Japanese don't take that much spicy stuff. So after tasting it, Ryohei downed a lot of his Iced Milo. They are so funny to watch. After that, we stopped by at the Istana Budaya before heading off to KL Tower. Over there, we met up with Yen Wen and her japs(Masato and Kenichiro), WeeKii and her japs(Mai and Rikako). Coincidentally, Ruthraz was there with Megumu too! So the 11 of us went up to the observation tower together and explored the place. Around 1pm(or was it 2pm?), WeeKii left for her ballet class and so Mai and Rikako stayed with YenWen and I. Ruthraz and Megumu left for lunch with his aunt.We asked the japs and they decided that we should walk to KLCC instead of taking a cab there. YenWen and I being the 2 malaysians there, didn't know the way to KLCC but luckily, we managed to get some direction from a kind guard at KL Tower! Then came lunch! The best place we could decide on was the food court. Mind you, it wasn't easy getting their orders. and they tried paying for their own meals. at one point, the 4 japanese boys pushed me. More like shoved. 'Cause I brought them to go order their drinks while YenWen was settling the stuff with the 2 girls, and then once they ordered, they decided to push me aside and paid for the bill themselves! terrible. the one right next to me was Kenichiro(tall. strong. athletic. get my point?) so it was quite impossible to push my way back. and the cashier took their money instead of mine! heh. But I managed to give back Masato 10bucks in the end!Next, we went Petrosains with the rest of the japs hosts. The japs mostly hung out with their own friends there so it was probably more fun for them.I left with Takeshi and Ryohei in the evening and then at night, we went over to WeeKii's for dinner. we had tandoori chicken(spicy for them), Garlic breads, steamed fish, garlic fried chicken, siew yoke, and salad. OH! we let them tried local fruits too! they didn't like the smell of Jackfruit! reminded them of Durian I guess. After dinner, we played pool and foosball. I'd say they had fun. went home really late, gave them their gifts that night(sis and my dad were the ones who bought it).on Sunday, we had Dim Sum for breakfast. A bit of a failure. The place we went wasn't as good as it used to be. and I don't think Ryohei enjoyed that meal that much. Save for that one dish that we told him to pick. some shrimp custard thing. Quite nice! After that, we brought their luggages to Weekii's house. Then me, yenwen and weekii(and our japs) went Central Market so that they could buy souvenirs and stuff. After that, all of us we went back to WeeKii's to shower before heading off to Saloma Theatre Restaurant for our farewell dinner. It was paid for, by the japs. Such nice people! After the dinner, they left for their chocolate factory visit before going off to KLIA to catch their flightTruth be told, I miss my japs. Even though at first I was so tempted to chicken out and I was so terrified about the whole hosting thing, I'm glad I really did host them. Learnt quite a lot. Great experience. Lots of hardship, a little miscommunication, and work but it was still fun!
