I lost my mojo to blog about the MTV World Stage.
but nevertheless, I'll give you a short post about it.
okay, went Juin's house on Saturday to go Sunway Lagoon with her.
So Juin, Zyang, Ernest, Hanwei, and I went together(Juin's dad sent us). By the time we stepped foot into the Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach, it was around 5 something, close to 6pm. After awhile, we saw khengyew and Ernest and Hanwei went off with their friends. Soon, the concert began.
VJs introducing bla bla bla.

Hometown boys Estranged took the stage first!
Not too bad, really.

After that, the beloved Boys Like Girls came on stage!
They kicked it off with "Love Drunk" and then "Hero Heroine".
Then, there was a little drizzle and so they sang "Thunder", and finally, "The Great Escape"!
Loved every single minute of it! seriously!
Too bad they only played 4 songs ):
But hey, let me tell you, Martin Johnson is lovely!
In fact, he even climbed up the stage's support pole and sang for a short while from there!
I love Boys Like Girls. Especially Martin. and Bryan Donahue. hehe.
It was fun to sing along to their songs!
I still can't quite believe they sang only 4 songs! ):
But then again, I got to see them perform live! I'll never forget it.
I hope they will return again! hehe.
Martin brought a can of Red-Bull back to Boston! hahahahah. I'm serious!
Okay, moving on.

Then, it was Raygun.
Never heard of them before. Well, not before I saw the artist lineup on MTVasia's website.
but still, I didn't quite bother searchign for their songs to listen.
But heck, they played their video for "Just Because" on the screens while we were waiting and I have to admit, it's quite nice.
so yes, by the time they came out, sang some songs and moved on to "Just Because", I knew how to at least sing the chorus!
So overall, Raygun was quite good!

After Raygun, we had Pixie Lott!
The only song of hers that I heard before was "Mama Do(uh oh)".
But the other songs she sang on Saturday, "Turn It Up" and "Boys and Girls", wasn't bad either!
Her performance for "Mama Do" was good! So good that I kept singing it on the way back to my sister's car, in the car, and back home. (: it truly is catchy.

And then, there was Hoobastank!
Haven't heard any songs from Hoobastank since ages ago so they were actually one of the main reasons(along with BLG and AAR) I wanted to go so badly.
I have to say, Hoobastank and The All-American Rejects sure knew how to get the crowd going.
Hoobastank rocked the stage with a short "ghostbuster" sing-along. Their most known song, "The Reason", practically had EVERYONE singing along. It was awesome! oh! they performed "Crawling In The Dark" too!

After that, we had one of the most anticipated act of the night!
The All-American Rejects!
They put on a heck of a performance.
Sang 6 songs! Crazily brilliant!
Nick Wheeler used a Gibson double neck guitar!
They started off with "Dirty Little Secret" and ended with "Gives You Hell"
In between they had "Swing Swing",
"I Wanna", "The Wind Blows" and "It Ends Tonight".
The moment I heard Tyson sing 'I'll leave when the wind blows', my heart just dropped. Not in a bad way. But it a very dramatic yet lovely way. I felt as if I could just die then and there already. It was as if my life mission was done. Cause since 2 weeks ago, the moment I first heard that song, I was in love with it. I just love the way Tyson sings it.
And then he did the most wonderful thing by starting the song from the very beginning and I was alive again!
I love Tyson to bits!
Since that 2 weeks ago, "The Wind Blows" beat "It Ends Tonight" at being my favourite AAR song.
[p/s: I only fell crazily in love with AAR AFTER they released "It Ends Tonight"]
And the way Tyson sang "The Wind Blows" on Saturday night was just like how he sang it in the recorded version. So freaking perfect.
Personally, I think AAR's performance was the best for that night. Seriously, everyone was singing along to every song of theirs that it felt so good.
And the 4 of us were jumping and singing lungs out and it was all so fun! Actually, Zyang, KhengYew and Juin did most of the jumping. I'm quite weak you see. And my stupid pant was really loose and the belt decided not to help on that night.
But it was FUN nontheless!

Finally, there was Kasabian.
I've heard a few of their songs but I only liked "Where Did All The Love Go?"
We left halfway through their performance to meet up with Hanwei and Ernest at the entrance. Somewhere along the way, while walking, I could hear them playing "where did all the love go?" (:
but yes, wasn't too impressed by their gig. But never the mind!
Overall, MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia. The first ever in Malaysia. The first ever in Southeast Asia. Well, it was awesome. Really. a little faults here and there but overall, it was quite good! (:
I love Martin.
I love Tyson.
Tyson is so cute a childish way.
Really, he's like a little kid. the way he says 'say yeaahhhh' is so gay but so freaking cute!
saw somewhere that this girl called is sexy. come to think of it, it's passable as a cute-sexy-gay-yeahhhh. hahahah.
on second thought, judging by how much I managed to spam out here, I think I got back my mojo somewhere along the 3rd paragraph (: hehe.
